Wedding // Eva and Jared // Brutocao Vineyard in Hopland California

Sunday, July 20, 2014

This wedding is very dear to my heart. For starters, I’ve known Eva, the bride, since High School.  She’s known me through my late 90’s awkwardness, shared in ridiculous banter, and seen me ugly cry in the Starbucks parking lot.  Fast forward about eight years later; Eva attended my wedding and I am so grateful that she did. We may have lost contact after college, but it was definitely our weddings that brought us back together.

Eva and Jared were married at the gorgeous Contento site at Brutocao Vineyard in the darling town of Hopland, California.  Surrounded by close friends and family, the couple exchanged their vows overlooking the vineyards lush greenery and hillside. For those of you who don’t know Eva, she has always been creative, artistic, and ready for a crafting project! With the help of her bridesmaids, Eva created the wedding of her dreams. From hand-dyeing muslin fabric panels that draped the reception tent to designing the “Bliss” marquee sign in the barn, these DIYers helped turn Eva’s vision into a reality.  There were so many thoughtful touches it would be hard for me to pick a favorite!

Below are just a few of my favorite tabletop details from their special day! Eva and Jared, may you two continue to have a marriage full of laughter, love, and happiness. Thank you for allowing us to capture your wedding day and witness the bond that you two share.

Head over to Swooned Magazine for more photos of this beautiful couple and a special message from the Bride!

And please be sure to stop by our photography website Adrian Jon Photography for more wedding details and a first look that will make your heart melt!

I also had the pleasure of designing a custom rubber stamp for Eva and Jared’s wedding. They used this to monogram the activity bags for the kids. This is a simple way to personalize some of your wedding details, and can be used over and over again! Also, for those who fancy a return address stamp that matches the font or hand lettering style of your invites, this would be a fabulous option!

Below is a closer look at the stamp!

Bridal Show Event // Palos Verdes Art Center // Southern California

Sunday, July 20, 2014

We’re always excited to see new event spaces pop up in southern California. So imagine our excitement when we heard a modern Art Center would begin offering an event space for weddings! The Palos Verdes Art Center, is a non-profit community visual arts gallery and school located in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. In an event hosted by Events by Valerie and TGIS Catering, the Art Center opened its doors to wedding professionals and couples to preview the event space and try some of their delicious eats.

For this Bridal Show event, we were invited to display some of our favorite invitations and paper goods. Thank you to all the lovely people that took a moment to stop by and chat!

In addition, I was asked to design menus, place cards, and table numbers for the styled reception tables that were showcased that evening. I created a fuschia watercolor base on top of an antique gold mat for the delicious menus. (Fun fact: I try to create a tasty “fake” menu even if no one gets to enjoy it in real life, HA!) And the menu headings and name cards were hand lettered in gold ink to compliment the place settings. Featured below are a few details from the styled tables designed by Events by Valerie.
